A celestial phenomenon and word play informed this celebration. On Fri (Viernes), 01-10-25, the planet Venus achieved her greatest eastern elongation. That meant she bedazzled farthest from the Sun as the Evening Star before heading back toward the west. Since the date read the same forward as backward, we also reveled in palindromes: Guests brought one or two to perform or a poem or song about Venus. One brave soul earned extra points for a palindrome that mentioned her! Potluck began at 7:09p in our cozy enclosure on Chihuahua Hill.
