About 30 guests heard Thea and Danny play the first set, which lasted about an hour. Shelly read a birthday poem. Lina brought out cake with candles, which HR blew out after making a wish. Marilyn added homemade cranberry peach pie to the choices. Other poets read: Kit accompanied by Yaakov, Larry, Josephine, Ann, Merri Lu. John sang a song. Daniel Boling roused the crowd with one he’d written with Tom Paxton and gave one of his own later as an encore. Danny sang a solo to wrap it all up.
